Dear friends and mates,

three months at ALS are over now and time is come to say goodbye. I do it with mixed feelings. On the one hand the time at school and here in Galway was quite amazing, on the other hand I miss my family and friends. Sometimes I hink: Time flew and I wish I could roll back the clock but than I think about all the people who are waiting for me at home in Germany and I`m looking forward to hugging them.

I´d like to thank the competent and high motivated staff of ALS who encouraged and challenged us, motivated or helped us when we felt upset and gave us the break to improve our English in different ways. Thanks for all classes including the free cultural classes, free vocabulary classes or singing classes and all the well- organized activities like our trip to Aran Islands, the afternoon walking tour or the cruise on the river.

I´d like also to thank you, the students from all the different countries I met at school. Thanks for your kindness, company and excellent teamworking. I suppose our cooperation was more then beeing on good terms- I felt respect, tolerance and heartiness. Most of all I enjoyed our interesting conversations (including girl talks) and discussions and all the moments we laughed together. Thanks for the unforgettable time we spent together and a special thank for your friendship, dear Eliana, Aranzazu and Josep. I´m looking forward to meeting you again in January in Spain.

I`d like to send you all on your way with an old Irish blessing.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

All the best to you. Take care, yours Elke from Germany
